Happy Earth Day, New York!

EVERY DAY, JWT NEW YORK KILLS ALMOST THREE TREES.

In a year, we turn over 689 trees into wastepaper, just by hitting print.

This year, the JWTree Project and JunkWasteTrash are raising awareness about our paper consumption and encouraging everyone to take small steps every day to use less paper.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Replant.

And in August, we’ll introduce a JWTree widget keep tabs on paper consumption at JWT NY, throughout the year.

Thanks for helping us save the trees.

WHY IS IT SO DARK IN HERE?

Because JunkWasteTrash is starting Green Mornings!

Check it out, our electricity doesn’t come from an outlet.
It’s made by burning coal, damming rivers and enriching uranium. 41% of America’s carbon dioxide
emissions (the stupid stuff that causes global warming) comes from the production of electricity.

So, enjoy the shade. And you know what would be really cool?
If you turn off your computers at night and to switch off conference room lights when you finish your
meeting. That’d be great.

Too many green-mails this week… need a visual reference? Check out our cool, new mural downstairs
in the 2nd floor reception.

Thanks and Happy Earth Day,
JunkWasteTrash

Welcome, Partner!

From here on out, your computer will automatically default to double-sided printing (aka duplex printing). If yours don’t work, call IT (x7157) tomorrow. Why all the fuss? After a year, our carbon footprint will have shrunk by 24 tons of greenhouse gases, 80 thousand gallons of waste water, 4.2 tons of landfill waste and almost 4 tons of paper. Yee haw!
